CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT PROGRAM

Cyprus is a commonwealth & EU member island country located in the Eastern Mediterranean.

It is a popular tourist destination as it is located southeast of Greece, south of Turkey, west of Syria & Lebanon, north of Egypt & northwest of Israel. Cyprus has a subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 24ËšC (75Ëš F) during the day & 14ËšC at night on the coast.

Tourism, shipping & financial services contribute to Cyprus’ economy & the island’s low tax rates, & free trade within the European Union makes Cyprus attractive to offshore businesses.

The Cyprus Citizenship by Investment program offers a variety of investment options for applicants with no criminal record & who hold a valid passport.  The program provides investors with a Cypriot passport with visa-free travel to 135 countries & unrestricted rights to live, work & study in Europe. There are no physical residence or language requirements with this program.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CYPRUS CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT PROGRAM

  • Must hold a valid passport.

  • Must not have a criminal record.

  • Must provide documents supporting the legal source of funds used for the investment.

  • Must have a permanent, privately-owned residence in Cyprus worth a minimum of €500,000 plus VAT in addition to one of these investment options:

INVESTMENT OPTIONS 

  1. Mixed investment: Investors must invest €2 million for the purchase of shares or bonds off the State Investment Company & investors should make a donation of at least €500,000 to the Research & Technology Fund, holding/maintaining these shares/bonds for a period of three years.

  2. Direct Investment: Investors must make a direct investment of at least €5 million in the purchase of property, business, companies or financial assets. These investments must be maintained for three years.

  3. Bank Deposit: Investors must have a fixed term deposit of €5 million for three years in a Cypriot Bank.

  4. Business Activities: Investors must be shareholders or beneficiary owners of a company that is managed in Cyprus & has contributed €500,000 per year to state funds (corporate tax, VAT) for the past three years.

Options 1, 2 & 3 may be combined to apply for Cypriot Citizenship provided the three total €5 million invested.
